Born in Washington State, Dr. Jennifer Favinger earned her medical degree from Harvard Medical School in Boston, MA in 2011 and returned to Washington to complete an internship in general surgery at Swedish Medical Center in 2012. She completed her residency in Diagnostic Radiology from the University of Washington in 2016, serving as chief resident, and completed her fellowship in Musculoskeletal Radiology at the University of Washington serving in the role of Senior Fellow and Acting Instructor in 2017. During this time, Dr. Favinger published numerous articles in peer-reviewed journals (including several as first author), presented multiple educational & scientific exhibits, as well as multiple juried presentations for national associations. During her residency in 2015, she was awarded the Lucy Frank Squire Distinguished Resident Award in Diagnostic Radiology by the American Association for Women Radiologists, which recognizes outstanding contributions in clinical care and scholarship.
Dr. Favinger’s clinical interests include advanced imaging, particularly MRI and sports medicine, and she also has expertise in imaging of musculoskeletal oncology and rheumatology. She is an avid soccer fan, particularly of the Seattle Sounders and Seattle Reign. Dr. Favinger lives in Seattle with her husband and young son. Together they enjoy going to soccer matches, traveling, and exploring the beauty of the Pacific Northwest.
